Here is a little update on rates and what we are expecting (and praying) to happen for 2025!
Majority of the bank’s chief economists are indicating RBA rate cuts will happen this year, possibly two in total. (if not more)
They are reasonably optimistic for one next month. The RBA is scheduled to have its first meeting of the year on February 17-18 where it could move the official cash rate from 4.35 per cent.
Money markets are currently putting a 66 per cent chance the RBA will cut during this meeting.

Well, what does this mean for you?
I would sit tight on your current loan structure for now, keep it all variable or don’t look to fix it in for more than 12mths.
And we can regroup the options after the next RBA meeting.
Rates as at today are as follows:
VARIABLE:
Owner occupied P&I: 5.90%-6.30%
Owner occupied IO: 6.60%-6.90%
Investment P&I: 6.30%-6.67%
Investment IO: 6.70%-7.20%
FIXED:
Owner occupied P&I:
1 years = 5.69%
2 years = 5.55%
Owner occupied IO:
1 years = 5.95%
2 years = 6.05%
Investment P&I:
1 years = 5.85%
2 years = 5.69%
Investment IO:
1 years = 5.95%
2 years = 6.05%

Have a beautiful week ahead!
